Hi! My name is Heidi and I am a Certified Professional Life and Sleep Science Coach. I live in Santa Cruz, California. I love taking my dog to the beach and going hiking in the redwoods. In my free time I enjoy going on camping adventures. I love soaking in hot springs and exploring nature with my dog. I love gardening and cooking with fresh, seasonal foods.

Why did I become a Sleep Coach?

A while back, I was struggling to get enough quality sleep. I would lie in bed for hours with my mind racing, trying to fall asleep for what seemed like forever. I would be worried that I wouldn’t have enough energy to make it through my next day. I tried to maintain a good bedtime schedule but had so much trouble falling and staying asleep. I consistently woke up tired, foggy and lackluster. It got so bad that I developed sleep anxiety and I dreaded going to bed.  I felt exhausted and hopeless that I would ever be able to sleep well.

Finally all of that changed when I became dedicated to changing my habits and mindset around sleep. I poured myself into researching all things sleep.  Things dramatically improved when I got help changing my limiting beliefs around sleep. I developed a whole toolkit of sustainable healthy habits to support getting the best night’s rest. Soon I was falling asleep faster and getting better quality sleep than I had gotten in years.

As a result of getting regular rejuvenating sleep, I am living life to the fullest and I am happier, healthier and more productive than ever. I no longer deal with crushing sleep anxiety and look forward to going to bed. I wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day with a clear mind and pep in my step. Because of overcoming these seemingly insurmountable sleep-challenges, I vowed to use my experience to help others.  I used to say  “I HAVE to go to bed.” Now I say “I GET to go to bed”.
